Training Camp with 120 partners

Patrik Sandell and Emil Axelsson are now in south Norway to drive in the championship in Norway. The purpose is to find the top of their form into Rally Sardinia in a couple of weeks.

Many drivers think Rally Sörland, near Kristiansand in south Norway, is one of the best rallies in the championship in Norway. Its Totally 120 team registered, 20 of them are in group N, where the Swedish guys are driving.

- Of course we hope we win the class, but we’re actually just here to keep the tempo in our selves. It’s been a while since we drove our last competition, it feels good to drive again, says Patrik Sandell.

To this competition Sandell and Axelsson have borrow a Renault Clio Group N from the Norwegian Petter Fauskos. A similar car as they won JSM and SM in for a couple of years ago.

Next week the guys are going to drive a test in Sweden in their own car, a Renault Clio R3. In combination with the competition this weekend they hope they’re good prepared for JRC.

- The competition in Norway is a perfect preparation for us of many reasons. Partly its right in time for us, and partly its good to do our own recce and write our own notes. Its 140 km SS, its good preparations, says Emil Axelsson.

Rally Sörland begins Friday night and ends Saturday night, when nine SS and 141 km roads are covered. Rally Sardinia, the next JRC competition, drives 18th-20th of May.
