Patrik Sandell and his co-driver Emil Axelsson has been in Norway to drive the Norweigian Championchip this weekend.
They started as third car among 120 starting, which ment they had to make way trough the gravel, and that makes the road almost as slippery as wet asphalt. But the keeped a few seconds ahead their concurrents.
- I think it was god for us to drive in the gravel. In JVM we never gets in that possition, because the WRC-cars always starts ahead of us, says Patrik.
Patrik and Emil was in the lead of Group N with 3 SS left. The had already driven the two last SS so the gravel was gone. In the end they were over 1.5 minutes ahead of the second driver in the class.
- It feels good, not just to win, but to feel that the speed is still there, says Patrik.
- Its easy to forget to have fun in the JVM because its so serious, and thats why I started driving. This weekend we have got that feeling back. It´s been a long time since we just steped out of our car and laughed after a finished stage, but now we did it several times, says Patrik.
Next week Patrik and Emil returns to Sweden to do some tests with their own car among Renault Sports.
18th - 20th may it's time for Rally Sardinia.
